Mr. Puno specializes in real estate, litigation, banking, mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. He has advised and acted as counsel to several of the largest real estate developers in the country on the entire gamut of property development; from land acquisition, land reclamation, joint ventures, licensing and permits, construction contracts, corporate structuring and property management. Among these companies are Federal Land, Rockwell Land, SM Prime and Century Properties. He also represents clients in litigation and dispute resolution before the courts and quasi-judicial and administrative agencies. Mr. Puno was a recommended lawyer for Dispute Resolution in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 for 2020.

He served as Undersecretary of the Department of Justice from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Puno is concurrently Special Legal Counsel of Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank) and of the Metrobank Group. Mr. Puno is also a director and officer of various corporations.

He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1986 and is a member of the Quezon City Chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
